Lighting Design - Hurst House

Berkshire, August 2012

Hurst House is a sustainable, new build one-off contemporary house located on the edge of the village of Bourne End in Buckinghamshire.

The design approach for this project started with several meetings with the architect Magnus Strom. Magnus wanted a very contemporary, energy efficient lighting scheme.

We achieved this using Deltalight plaster in LED downlights for a seamless, sleek design. The downlights were positioned to complement the layout of the client's furniture. We then used LED DMX controlled recessed floor uplights for the exterior of the property.

The house complies with - and exceeds - all Part L lighting requirements, and the lighting blends perfectly with its modern, streamlined architecture.
