“Discovering new soul in old living objects” has been Kimu Design’s ethos since their formation in 2013. The Reddot award winning brand revels in deconstructing traditional oriental designs and reimagining them with a fresh Scandi simplicity. Organic materials, such as wood, brass and handmade paper from the Taiwan Suho Paper Museum, combine to form a lighting collection you can tailor to suit your moods and needs - just gently extending their paper lanterns easily transforms task lighting in to a warm, diffuse ambience.
Add eclectic detailing to a contemporary bedroom with a delicate lantern pendant, or soften an industrial style living room with a beech, aluminium and rice paper table lamp. A zeal for archaeology unites Kimu Design’s three Taiwan-Finland based founders; now you can unearth their grounded but modern designs for yourself.
